Overview

The Teen Rescue Foundation Auction 2020 is an online auction hosted by Langton's Fine Wine Auctions on 5-22 March 2020.

The Auction is proud to present an incredible line up of more than 400 bottles of the best wines from Australia, Champagne and New Zealand, featuring 26 magnums, four jeroboams and two methuselahs, along with dinners, tastings, accommodation and more.

Almost every bottle, including back vintages and large formats, has been donated direct from the cellar of the producer.

100% of proceeds will be donated to Teen Rescue Foundation to resource front-line initiatives to save young Australians from alcohol abuse.

Enormous progress has been made in changing the culture of teen alcohol abuse in Australia in recent decades, but there is much more still to be done.

Quotes

Over the past five years, Teen Rescue Foundation has raised $89,000 to support organisations that are making the biggest impact in turning around the underage alcohol culture in Australia.

The Teen Rescue Foundation Auction 2020 is our biggest initiative yet, a vehicle for Australia's wine and hospitality communities to rally behind this vital cause.

Together, we can continue to make a very real difference in saving young Australians from alcohol abuse.

Tyson Stelzer, Director and Founder of Teen Rescue Foundation

As far as alcohol health is concerned, 2019 was one of the best schoolies’ weeks we’ve done. A lot of schoolies are not binge drinking as much, and a higher proportion are drinking more responsibly. It’s been five years in a row now that we’ve seen this trend.

Education has been critical to changing the culture and behaviour, but we want to do more. Despite increasing use of drugs, 80-90 percent of incidents that our teams respond to during schoolies’ weeks are alcohol related. We would like to be able to do more in education, training and harm prevention.
